The 5th Thiruvananthapuram District Sub-Junior Karate Championship 2025–26 was inaugurated by Smt. V. Priyadarshini, President of Thiruvananthapuram District Panchayat, at the V. S. Achuthanandan Indoor Stadium, Neeruvila, Ottur.

The function was presided over by Shri R. Suraj, President of SKAT. Shri G. Jayachandran, President of Ottur Grama Panchayat, delivered the keynote address.

Shri Lalu T., Ottur Grama Panchayat Member and District Sports Council Member; Shri Sampath V., Secretary, SKAT; Shri S. Nasserudheen, Vice President, SKAT; and Shri M. Suresh Kumar, Joint Secretary, SKAT, also addressed the gathering.

Around 450 participants from 45 SKAT-affiliated clubs across Thiruvananthapuram district, along with individual registrations, competed in 36 events.

The championship was organized by the Sports Karate Association of Thiruvananthapuram, functioning with the recognition of the Thiruvananthapuram District Sports Council and Thiruvananthapuram District Olympic Association. The organizers arranged modern facilities, including tournament management software, to ensure the smooth and efficient conduct of the championship.
