The Sports Karate Association of Thiruvananthapuram (SKAT), functioning with the recognition of the Thiruvananthapuram District Sports Council, Thiruvananthapuram District Olympic Association, and Kerala Karate Association, organized a seminar on competition rules and examinations for coaches and judges–referees for karate instructors, judge–referee officials, and karate athletes in Thiruvananthapuram district.

The program was inaugurated by R. Suraj Sensei, President of SKAT and Vice President of the Kerala Karate Association, at Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Nedumangad.

Madheesh Kumar Sensei, Chairman of the SKAT Referee Commission, conducted a class on competition rules. Sampath Sensei, Secretary of SKAT and a member of the Kerala Karate Association Referee Commission, conducted a session on competition symbols, gestures, and procedures.

The examination that followed was conducted under the leadership of Madheesh Sensei (RC Chairman), Akhil Sensei (RC Secretary), and RC members Rajikumar Sensei and Jyothish Sensei.

SKAT Treasurer Jyothinath Sensei, Vice Presidents Nassaruddeen Sensei and Shiju M. Habeeb Sensei, and Joint Secretary Suresh Kumar Sensei, along with other office bearers, were also present.

Approximately 170 participants attended the program.
